Estuary 8th birthday celebration (7 Dec 2023):
We’ll be celebrating Estuary’s 8th birthday (the first official commit to Estuary’s central and current source code repository took place on 3 Dec 2015) on the 7th of December 2023, with a program of livestreams and translocal performances, presentations, and workshops (etc), taking place at the Networked Imagination Laboratory (McMaster University) and around the world.
Ready Avatar One gathering (13-17 Mar 2023):
Ready Avatar One is a four-day in-person and online gathering centred around avataring practices and mixed-reality performance, taking place March 14-17, 2023. Ready Avatar One will feature a program of live performances, art works/screenings, artist and academic talks, paper presentations, etc taking place in-person in two communities: at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia and at the Networked Imagination Laboratory at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario.

Estuary 5th Birthday Celebrations (3 Dec 2020):
Estuary, the platform for collaboration and learning through live coding, turns five years old on Thursday 3 Dec 2020 - the fifth anniversary of the first "commit" to Estuary's source code! To celebrate, the Networked Imagination Laboratory (NIL) is hosting a day of live-streamed performances, featuring ensembles from around the world (with performers from places including Alberta, Colombia, Czech Republic, England, India, Israel, Japan, Massachussets, México, Newfoundland, Ontario, Québec, Scotland, and South Africa). The day includes three live-streamed workshops on newer live coding languages available within Estuary (CineCer0, Punctual, Seis8s) and ends with a presentation and discussion on Estuary's past, present, and future. fromZero Online Estuary Jam Sessions (19 May 2020 - July 2020):
Join NIL personnel in these weekly, casual, collaborative live coding sessions in the Estuary platform! Make music and animation in your web browser with NIL researchers on hand for assistance, suggestions, and moderation. Requirements are a computer with the Chrome/Chromium/Opera browser installed (other browsers may work but may not work as well), and basic Internet access.
